The 2024–25 Première Ligue season, also known as Arkema Première Ligue for sponsorship reasons, is the 51st season of top national women's football league in France and the first season since its rebranding as Première Ligue. Lyon are the defending champions, having won their record-extending 17th title in the 2023–24 season.[7]
The season began on 20 September 2024 and is scheduled to end on 16 May 2025 with the play-off final.[8]
After a 4–0 win over Fleury, Lyon were mathematically defended their first place finish, and will play in the playoffs.[9]

[edit]The top four teams from the regular season qualify for the final play-offs. In the semi-finals, the team that finished first plays the 4th place team. And the runner-up plays the 3rd place.
The winner of the play-offs is crowned the champion for the 2024–25 season. Both finalists secure a direct qualification to the 2025–26 Champions League league stage.
