Akash Bobba

Akash Bobba is an American software engineer, currently serving at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).[1][2]

Early life and education

Bobba attended UC Berkeley, studying management, entrepreneurship and technology.[3] Bobba previously interned at Bridgewater Associates as an investment engineer, along with internships at Meta and Palantir.[3] Bobba is of Indian descent.[4][5][6]

Career

Bobba was among a group of 19- to 24-year-olds appointed to the Department of Government Efficiency in 2025.[7][8] He currently is listed on internal Office of Personnel Management (OPM) with the position of "expert" according to Wired.[1]
