Annika Penickova (born September 11, 2009) is an American professional tennis player. Alongside her twin sister, Kristina, she won the girls' doubles title at the 2025 Australian Open.
Early life
[edit]From California, she later trained at the USTA Academy in Orlando, Florida.[2]
Career
[edit]A left-handed player, she made her debut at a Junior Grand Slam final in the girls' doubles at the 2025 Australian Open playing alongside her right-handed twin sister, Kristina.[3] In the semi final they defeated Czech sisters Jana and Alena Kovačková.[4][5] In the final they won in straight sets against Emerson Jones and Hannah Klugman.[6]
Personal life
[edit]Her twin sister, Kristina, also plays tennis.[7][8] Their parents, Tomáš Pěnička and Olga Hostáková, are former tennis players from the Czech Republic.[9][10] They are both coached by their father.[11]
