Timmons Arena is the home of the Furman Paladins basketball programs, both men and women's. Opening in 1998, it hosts 2,500 for basketball and 6,000 for concerts and school functions. The most significant contribution of money for the facility came from the Timmons family, which has had several family members who graduated from Furman dating back to 1910.[1]
